Bob Oettinger

Bob Oettinger has worked in the area of corporate and non-profit management, fund raising, planning, public relations and promotions for more than 25 years.  He has served as public relations director for the American Diabetes Association, Southern California Affialite and co-director of Motion Picture and Television Fund’s $50 million capital campaign, before founding Celebrity Outreach in 1989.

Since its inception, Celebrity Outreach has matched more than 300 actors, athletes and  other personalities with non-profit groups and schools across the United States and, through a program of consigned autographed memorabilia, has helped these organizations generate more than $4 million.

Oettinger’s writing credits include Sports Illustrated, Forecast Magazine and ABC-TV’s “Happy Birthday Hollywood” special.  He also co-edited the book Happy Birthday Hollywood and has coordinated and appeared in dozens interviews, including Sixty Minutes and the Los Angeles Times.

He has served on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries, the Publicity Club of Los Angeles and the Roar Foundation.  He was appointed director of the Entertainment Industry Committee of the Los Angeles Partnership for Ethical Charity by former Mayor Tom Bradley.  A native of Los Angeles, Oettinger earned a bachelor’s degree in history and master’s in public relations from USC.
